Founder’s Day Celebration
Founder’s Day was celebrated on 07/07/2023. It is observed every year in institution to mark the divine remembrance of the founder of our institution Sri Sri Beerendra Keshava Tharakanandapuri Mahaswamiji of Sri Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanaka Guru Peetha Education Trust.
On this day, Swamiji was remembered by lighting the lamp and his portrait was decorated with flowers. This occasion was organised by the Management, Secretary, Principal, all the teaching and non-teaching staff were involved.
The programme was hosted beautifully with songs and speech that involved all auspicious aspects. The President Sri Sri Shivanandapuri Swamiji addressed the gathering about the establishment of the institution, vision and mission of the institution.
Totally occasion was well organised and successful.
Report on Health Check – Up

Health check-up camp was organized in the college on 11/07/2023 in collaboration with ‘Suraksha Foundation’. The camp includes Eye check-up camp, Blood group check-up, Blood donation camp and Dental check-up camp.
- Eye check-up was organized by- District Mobile Ophthalmic Unit- K.R.Hospital, Mysuru.
- Blood check-up and blood donation camp was organized by- Jeevadhara Blood Bank-Mysuru (Under Red Cross Unit)
- Dental check-up camp-Smile Dental Care Unit, Mysuru.
- The Secretary of the institution Sri.M.Puttabasavegowda, The Principal Dr.Vishalakshi.K.K, The Founder of Suraksha Foundation Sri.Anand, Teaching and Non-teaching staffs, The main guests were Doctors, Specialist.
- Kruthika gave speech about awareness on blood donation, She explained about what are the criterias should be followed before and after Blood donation.
- Chethankumar, Eye specialist, gave information about cleanliness of eyes.He instructed us to eat the food containing Vitamin A to keep the eyes healthy, he gave information about 20-20 formula that is related to the relief the stress of the eyes.
Dr. Sharath kumar, Dental specialist, he informed about cleanliness of teeth and mouth.
As Principal instructed students were made use of this Health Check-Up Camp.
After, all the students went to the specialized doctors and get diagnosed about their eyes and teeth. Some of the students of the college got inspired and donated blood.
All the students, staff of the institution were benefitted by this Health Check-Up Camp and got awareness about blood donation.

On 06th January 2020 (Monday), as a part of Social Responsibility, ‘ELECTION AWARENESS JATHA’ was made by all the Teacher trainees under the guidance of Physical Education Director. All the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff followed by Revenue Inspector of Kuvempunagar and also the media persons witness the Jaatha.
On 09th January 2020 (Thursday), The Revenue Inspector of Kuvempunagar Visited the College and created the awareness regarding the role of Citizens in Mysore’s participation in ‘Swatch Bharath Sarvekshan-2020’. Teacher trainees were made to give the feedback about Mysuru as a Cleanest City.
On 14th January 2020 (Tuesday), ‘Model Preparation Day’ was organized for the first semester trainees as a part of curriculum.
On 26th January 2020 (Sunday), ‘Republic Day’ was celebrated by the institution. The Division Head of Sri. Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanakaguru Peetha Sri.Sri.Dr.Shivanandapuri Mahaswamiji made their presence with Hon.Secretary of the Institution Sri.M.Puttabasavegowda and made the occasion grand full. Students of all the subordinate institutes were performed the cultural events. B.Ed. Trainees took initiative to make the function Grand success.
On 30th January 2020 (Wednesday), ‘Martyrs Day’ was observed as a token of gratitude to the Soldiers and also to Mathama Gandhiji.
On 3rd February 2020 (Monday), as a part of Co-Curricular activities, the ‘Food Festival’ was organised in the College Naming ‘Nalapakotsava’. Both 1st and 3rd Semester trainees happily participated in the food festival and resulted with attractive dishes.
On 11h February 2020 (Tuesday), The Students of History Method was organised one day academic trip for Belur, Halebedu, Shravanabelagola followed by adjacent tourist places.
On 20th February 2020 (Thursday), The Second year trainees were made to visit ‘Mega Job Fair-2020’ which was organised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs at Scouts and Guides Ground, Mysuru. In order to receive the idea about job market.
On 25th February 2020 (Tuesday), In association with Gandhian Studies, University of Mysore our College has organised One Day National Seminar on the topic – ‘Influence of Gandhiji on South India’ at Humanities Hall, Manasagangothri Campus, University of Mysore, Mysuru
On 29th February 2020 (Saturday), The Students of Geography was organised one day academic trip for Dubare Elephant Camp and Nagarahole Tiger Reserve Forest followed by adjacent tourist places.
On the eve of International Women’s Day the College has organised an Essay Competition for the teacher trainees on the topic – ‘Woman in Mysuru with special Achievements’ on 05th March 2020 (Friday) in the College Auditorium.
On 6th March 2020 (Tuesday), first year trainees conducted a class level quiz competition related to Information and Communication Technology. The Subject Educator and Principal made their presence.
On 07th March 2020 (Saturday), ‘International Women’s Day’ was celebrated in the College Auditorium. The Principal Dr.Vishalakshi.K.K Presided over the event, Smt.K.Sujatha, Asst. Professor in History accompanied with the President. The Women Representatives of the College and Lady Workers of the College were chaired in the Dias. Various Cultural programmes followed by Prize distribution of Essay Competition was held.
Sri Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanakaguru Peetha College of, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, reopened the Classes for both 1 st and 3 rd Semester B.Ed. Students on 25/11/2019 (Monday). The Principal formally welcomed the students and briefed the academic activities and later it was followed by Lectures orientationto the students on Curricular and Co-Curricular activities of the year and particularly to the respective semester. The academic aspects such as UDP, SSP, EPC’s, Assignments, Tutorials, Internal Assessment Pattern, Field Visits as a part curriculum and other Co-Curricular activities which they need to be exposed to.
On 26th November 2019 (Tuesday), ‘INDIAN CONSTITUTION DAY’ was celebrated in the College Auditorium where the Oath was taken regarding upholding the Indian Constitution and Students performed various cultural activities and created awareness regarding the provisions of the Constitution.
On 30th November 2019 (Saturday), ‘KANNADA RAJYOTHSAVA’ and ‘KANAKADASA JAYANTHI’ was jointly celebrated. Dr.K.S.Kendaganne Gowda, Assistant Professor in Kannada, Maharani’s Science College was invited as the chief guest and he addressed the Key note followed by Various cultural programmes by the teacher trainees.
In order to promote leadership qualities among the teacher trainees the ‘The Student Council’ was formed on 13th December 2019 (Friday) by conducting a mock election for the posts of Vice-President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary and following were elected.

On the eve of Fresher’s Day and in order to eradicate the shyness among the 1st Year Teacher trainees (Freshers), The Second year trainees organised ‘Sports Meet’ where small indoor and outdoor games where made to play on 16th December 2020 (Monday).
On 18th December 2019 (Wednesday), the Second year trainees organised ‘FRESHER’S DAY’ and officially welcomed all the first year students with various programmes whole day.
On 20th December 2019 (Friday), First Year Trainees were made to prepare the Bulletin Boards with respect to their Pedagogy. Trainees prepared the Bulletin boards of Science and Social Science disciplines were displayed in the College Campus.
On 21st December 2019 (Saturday), The Students of 3rd Semester opted the Optional Course: Guidance and Counselling were made the debate on the topic ‘How teacher acts as a Guide?’
On 27th December 2019 (Friday), Penal Discussion was arranged in the College Auditorium. 3rd Semester students chaired the penal and discussed on the issue- ‘Citizenship Amendment Act’.
